I wanted to continue working on chapter books. I like that The Great Gatsby is a shorter book so I can take my time looking for minor details without feeling overwhelmed. I also like the idea of exploring what reintroducing this classic literature to a new audience is like, especially with all these trends with book covers that are simple and use symbols for defining the book rather than being abstract or putting together a bunch of elements. This felt like a good space to explore since The Great Gatsby really hasn’t had that many mass produced cover designs.
