Frankenstein

by Mary Shelley

designed by Tabitha Lahr

Shelley started writing the story when she was 18, and the first edition was published anonymously in London in 1818, when she was 20. Her name first appeared in the second edition, which was published in Paris in 1821. I decided to repackage it with a more modern abstract look that focuses on the intense emotional aspect of the novel as opposed to the more common figurative monster imagery. To complete the stark cover is silver foiling of the spark explosion. The interior also includes more of the same emotive art that was used on the cover to set off each volume.
